The purpose of the ‘Introduction to starch technology’ is to create a basic understanding of starch technology for industry staff having no technical or scientific background or having recently joined the starch industry.

This course is intended for:

  • Financial managers
  • Controllers
  • Sales and marketing executives with no technical background
  • Human resource managers
  • Purchasing or Supply chain managers with no technical background
  • Job entrants of any kind

This course is the introductory piece of a series of technical training courses which deal much more in depth with specific areas of the technology, application properties and the chemistry of starch and their derivatives.

About the Author:

Roland Beck spent about half of his career in product and process development, sales and marketing with Cerestar, later Cargill, before joining Sensient’s Color Division initially as Commercial Director and subsequently as Managing Director, responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is author of about 70 publications and 20 patents, most of them dealing with the use of starch and its derivatives in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
